Alfredo Gamez

Alfredo Gamez of Borden, passed away Sunday November 16, 2008 at the Clark County Memorial Hospital, at the age of 87. He was born on August 15, 1921, he was a son of the late Bernardo Gamez and Jacinta (Alvarez) Gamez. He married Amelia (Alvarez) on February 13, 1959, who precedes him in death. He was a retired Sub-Contractor for the Railroad, and he was a member of the St. Mary's Church Navillton. Survivors include: 4 Sons Alfredo Jr, Jose, Steven, and Ray (Emelia) Gamez. 6 Daughters: Anita (Al) Perez, Dominga (David Sr.) Goodhue, Mary Lou Marshall, Olaya Bradley, Cathy Turner, Janie Gassoway. 1 Sister Alicia Alverez. 24 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Wife, 1 Son, 1 Grandson. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden. The funeral mass will be at 11:00 am Thursday at the St.Mary's Church Navilleton. Burial will be at the St. Mary's Navilleton Cemetery. Father John Elmer will conduct the service.
