Alan J. Robertson

Alan J. Robertson, age 82, of Borden, died October 5, 2013 at the Clark Memorial Hospital. Born on March 9, 1931 in Smiths Grove Kentucky, he was the son of Jewell Robertson and Spencer (Richey) Lawrence. On June 9, 1953 he married Nancy Lou (Morgan) Robertson. He was a retired Owner/Operator Truck driver. He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years Nancy Morgan Robertson; four children, Carol Lewis, Brenda Carter (husband Larry), David Robertson (wife Sherry), and Brian Robertson (wife Ra Anna). he has seven grandchildren, Erin, Amanda, John Alan, Chris, Brad, Collin and Micah along with four great grandchildren who affectionately called him "GG". He also has two brothers, Leon Robertson and Danny Lawrence and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Carolyn Souert, and one brother Louis Robertson. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden. Viewing will be from 3-8 PM Monday and Tuesday from 10 until time of service at the funeral home.
